Preparing your music for mastering

To ensure the highest quality results, please follow these guidelines when delivering your files. This will allow a smooth workflow and the best possible sound for your project.

How should I deliver my material for mastering?

For a Stereo Mastering, please send me a stereo file (WAV or AIFF) with peaks around -6 dB. You can export it at any sample rate you prefer (44.1, 48, 96 kHz, etc.), but make sure no limiter or clipping is applied on the master bus.

For a Stem Mastering, please export separate groups (drums, bass, synths, vocals, FX, etc.) as individual stereo files. Each stem should be exported with the same starting point, without limiting or processing on the master bus. This allows me to rebalance and enhance the mix before the final mastering stage.

For DAW Projects (Ableton Live or Studio One), you can also send me your full session if you prefer. Please make sure all external samples, instruments, and plugins are collected and properly referenced, so I can open the project exactly as it sounds on your system. This method is useful when you want me to fine-tune the mix and optimize it before mastering.
